3 Effective Tricks To Clean Those Lovely Brass Decorations

Brass decorations lose their shine over time and can oxidize. In the case of brass, many of the usual cleaning products don’t cope. But there are some simple and natural solutions you can use to clean the brass objects.
Their advantage is that you won’t spend a lot of money on chemicals that turn to be less effective and extremely toxic for the environment.

Flour and salt paste
Prepare a paste made of equal amounts of flour and salt, and add water until you get the consistency of toothpaste. Apply the paste with a sponge on the brass objects and rub gently, and then rinse with plenty of water.

Spicy ketchup

Although it seems strange, spicy ketchup or other sauce containing chili peppers is extremely effective in cleaning brass objects. Apply the sauce on the sponge and rub well the stained area, and then rinse with warm water. Repeat the process if necessary.

Coke
The most loved soda in the world is a good antioxidant of brass. Small brass items can be sunk in Coke for a few minutes, and then rub with an abrasive sponge. Objects can also be covered with a cloth or towel soaked in Coke.
