How To Get Rid Of Ants In The House Without Killing Them

Everyone is happy when summer comes because sun adds a glimpse on our face, and we can enjoy all that great outdoor activities. But, insects seem to love summer too, especially ants, because in their search for food they appear in our homes, and we don’t like that.

To get rid of ants in your house you can use some natural solutions, leaving those toxic chemicals aside because they are very harmful for everyone’s health.

Salt with baking soda

If ants invaded your kitchen, mix salt with baking soda in equal amounts and sprinkle it around your kitchen or in the area where ants are. Right after they are gone, sprinkle this mixture around your window frame and door to prevent them from coming back.

Lemon-based solution

Make your own insecticide from 100% natural ingredients. Mix the juice from 2 lemons with 1 liter of water, and spray the solution into the place where the ants have made their nest. To prevent them from entering the house again, they spray the solution regularly around the house or near the windows.

Draw lines with chalk

A simple way to keep ants away from your home is to draw chalk lines around the house or across the windows. This way, ants will stay away because they can stand the smell and taste of calcium carbonate. You can also sprinkle the chalk powder on the pots of the plants, if you notice that the small invaders want to build an anthill there.
