How to remove salt stains from your leather boots


Snow may leave salt stains on shoes and in some cases they are very difficult to remove from certain materials, like natural skin.

To clean salt stains effectively you need:
-water
-clean cloth
-white vinegar
-1 onion

How clean the salt stains from leather shoes
Moisten the cloth and remove as much as you can from salt stains. If you clean stains immediately they would be easier to remove, so don’t let your boots dry.

Mix vinegar with water in equal amounts, then soak the cloth in the solution and start wiping gently boots surface.
If this mixture doesn’t remove completely salt stains, try to use just vinegar to clean your leather boots. Vinegar can be very corrosive on leather shoes, so after you’ve cleaned the salt stains you better use a special shoe cream.

But in case vinegar won’t remove stains, cut an onion in half and rub with it the salt stains. Rinse with clean water and apply a shoe cream on your boots.
