Get rid of mold and mildew with vinegar and baking soda

Mold is very unpleasant, both by appearance and by the harmful effects it has on health. Babies and children shouldn’t leave in a room/house that is affected by mold, because it can cause severe allergies and even asthma. Here are 2 simple and inexpensive ways that can get rid of mold: vinegar and baking soda.

To remove mold you have to prepare a solution of vinegar and water. Experts believe that the solution works better if you sprinkle a solution of vinegar and water in equal parts over the affected area. Leave a few hours then remove mold with a brush (you have to cover your nose and mouth with a special mask or a damp cloth). Studies show that vinegar destroys 82% of mold spores, and all viruses and bacteria. Vinegar prevents mold reappearance if it’s sprayed onto the affected area and left to dry.

Baking soda is another handy ingredient which is useful in removing mildew. It can be used diluted in plain water or a water and vinegar. Spray on the area, leave a few hours then wipe with a damp cloth. Baking soda is a natural disinfectant and very gentle that doesn’t leave any odor.
